This is a painting of the 3D abstract sketch I made from card and wire. I produced it in the style of Quentin Blake, hoping to capture the brightness and 'fun' of his work. Using a ballpoint pen I drew a very rough line drawing of the form, trying to capture only the rough lines rather than exact dimensions.
The addition of bright colours enhances the sketch, as it gives a more exciting look to the simple unsaturated greys of the original subject.
In terms of the colour of the final multifunctional product I would like to use a mixture of the whites and reds of my original interior as well as perhaps wood, as it's colour and texture worked well on my mood board.
