Here I have again looked at the form of the rubix cube, but this time I have focused on the shape
rather than the colour. I am interested in how the simple idea of rotating portions of the cube
could be used in a multifunctional product. Different panels could allow for different parts of the
product to be revealed. I have seen a similar idea in the computer game 'Starship Titanic' by Douglas Adams.
In the monoprints I have also used letter and number stamps. These continue my idea of using text as an
important design element. The roughness of the stamp gives an interesting look. I have used Photoshop to layer
the monoprinted letters over other monoprints, adding a texture to them, and enhancing this rough idea.
This lettering, and the form of the rubix cube, could be put to good use in my final product.
