The first step in producing my sketch models is to design a floor plan as stipulated by my project specification.
The room is very basic in form, being essentially a box (7" x 7" x 5") with a door in one end. I produced this floor plan
on a computer, mounting it on a sheet of foam board and then adding walls, made of the same material. Pins were used
to secure the parts, so as to allow for adjustments.
This shell will make it easy to develop my ideas, and its simple construction makes adjustments easy. The
articulated figure helps me to visualize both scale, and make sure that the room fits around him (shelves not too
high etc)
