This image, inspired by the Bauhaus poster, shows a graphical representation of a circuit board.
I have traced a scanned image of a circuit board and reproduced it from geometric shapes. By doing
this I have changed a relatively complicated form into a simple, yet interesting, graphic.
I have used Macromedia Flash to produce this image, as its vector drawing system is superb. This allowed
me to draw very smooth forms, along with descriptive text. With this piece I wanted to experiment with
integrating text into my work, as I think descriptive words could be an interesting element in the design
of both my interior and multifunctional product.
The Bauhaus poster which inspired this image is striking as it is composed only of three shades, black, grey,
and white. In this image I have tried to stick to this limited colour scheme, whilst conveying the colours
of the board. I have therefore confined myself to only a limited palette.
