After deciding to focus on a folding bed I went back to the computer and decided on a method to make the bed. Made from four segments connected with hinges the bed can fold into a small desk, a computer and then a bed. This makes it truly multifunctional. Due to the mini ITX computer I mentioned earlier the computer within the bed is thin enough so as to make the segments thin and lightweight enough to be operated by any individual. If mounted on a sliding panel then this bed would fit well into the interior I designed in part one.

I like this design as it is simple, but that simplicity leads to a more user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing design. The next step in the development process will be to transfer the design back to card, where I will explore ways of refining the design so it is supported by some kind of arrangement of legs.
